CORONATION Street legends Michael Le Vell and Sally Dynevor have both bagged a new six-figure pay deal – keeping them on the famous cobbles for another year.
Michael, 60, who plays Kevin Webster and Sally, 62, who plays Sally Metcalfe are said to be “delighted” with their ITV soap contracts.
Rumours are rife that bosses could reunite their popular characters, who used to be a cobbles power couple.
A source said: “The former on-screen couple have grown close over the last few months.
“Kevin’s wife Abi, actress Sally Carmen, left him for his brother and Sally has been helping him with his heartache and was also there for him during his recent testicular cancer battle.
“These two have been at the heart of Weatherfield for more than four decades so it would be a real plot twist to reunite them.”
Yesterday we revealed that stalwart Bill Roache had also signed a new deal to stay on the hit soap aged 93.
It extends his world record stint on the ITV soap as Ken Barlow to 66 years and he hopes to go on to reach his 70th milestone.
ITV will kick off its new ‘power hour’ of soaps with a special crossover episode between Corrie and Emmerdale in January.
Corriedale was teased with a new trailer last week that was aired during I’m a Celebrity.
A Coronation Street spokeswoman declined to comment.
