LUCY Fallon has sent X users into a frenzy after seemingly leaking that a former Doctor Who star will be joining the cast of Coronation Street.
The Cobbles favourite, 29, posted a selfie from her dressing room at the film studios for the popular soap on her Instagram.
She was pulling a funny face and wearing a grey hoodie while sitting in a chair, holding an ITV mug.
Behind Lucy there’s a black rimmed mirror with the name ‘AMY CUDDEN’ stuck onto it in bold lettering.
Whether the snap was an intentional announcement or an unintended social media blunder is yet to be confirmed.
Though the photo has lead X users to save the post and speculate online, believing that Amy may be making an appearance on Corrie soon.
“Amy cudden hmm I wonder who she will be playing #Corrie,” said one user, reposting Lucy’s photo.
“I think she’s sharing a room with her,” considered another.
The most common theory is that if Amy is joining the cast, she will be playing a part of the soap’s huge police corruption plot as Becky Swain.
Becky is the supposed deceased wife of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
And Corrie fans are adamant that Becky is set to arrive any day now.
One said after last night’s episode: “Just realised, when ‘Fake Tia Wardley’ was talking to Costello she used Tia’s name in the past tense.
“What if the real Tia Wardley was killed and they used her body to fake Becky’s death, but actually Becky is alive – coming to Weatherfield imminently #Tiawardley #Swarla.”
Another said: “I reckon Becky is alive & Tia Wardly was probably buried instead of Becky.”
And a third commented: “I think Becky may still be alive and that’s who was watching Lisa. Though why she faked her own death remains to be seen. Will definitely put a spanner in the works on her engagement to Carla. “
As well as appearing in Doctor Who, Amy Cudden is a well known actress from Vera and Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
She also starred alongside Keeley Hawes as one of the leads in the 2002 hit series The Midwich Cuckoos.
Lucy has also had a rather spectacular screen career, devoting a lot of years to Corrie.
She first joined the show in 2015 as Bethany Platt before leaving in 2020.
In December 2023 she returned, and will be back once again in the series soon after taking a break from the programme for maternity leave.
