Coronation Street and Emmerdale come together next month for a one-off hour-long spectacular, with the teaser showing a multi vehicle pile up and Tracy’s voice one of those heard calling for help.

On Monday’s episode Tracy (Kate Ford) faced off with her dad Ken Barlow (William Roache) over him toying with the idea of selling his house to the Rovers Returns to buy a cabin on a cruise ship and spend his twilight years sailing the seven seas.

Ken had talked about the idea with Roy Cropper (David Neilson) with the latter saying: “I’ve read about this. They sell cabins like flats. Perpetual travel for the rest of one’s days. It has a certain romantic appeal.”

But when Tracy heard about it, she was less than pleased but Cobbles stalwart, Rita Tanner had some wise words for them.

Corrie star signs for Celebs Go Dating & reveals she is ‘desperate to move on’

SOAP SURPRISE

Corrie hid Easter Egg in 65th anniversary ep – but did you spot it?

“As you get older, you cherish your relationships more and more,” Rita said. “Especially the ones that are close to us. Believe me, money means nothing compared to spending time with a loved one.”

Later, Ken and Tracy argued over the cruise ship plan with him saying she was only concerned about losing her inheritance.

But after rowing for some time, they agreed that the money was not important and they should value each other more.

Tracy told him: “I realise the money’s not important. You’re here, and you’re relatively healthy,” and Ken replied, “time is a precious thing.”

She replied: “You’re right. And from now on, we’re going to spend as much time together as we can.”

Ken added: “Nothing will please me more.”

Fans took this conversation as a “foreshadowing” that Tracy would be killed, especially considering her voice is heard at the car accident in the Corriedale trailer.

“I don’t like this foreshadowing… but I will NEVER forgive them if they kill off Tracy Barlow,” wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.

Another posted: “Tracy can’t die. We can’t keep losing legacy family characters like this. I’m sorreh you will find me at Corrie gates if that happens.”

And a third commented: “Too much death talk around Tracy… far too much.”
