COPS have released a CCTV image of a second suspect they are hunting after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in a residential street.
Adam John Henry, 15, was tragically killed in Islington, north London, during a horror attack in broad daylight last week.
Emergency crews were scrambled following reports of a stabbing on Westbourne Road at around 1pm on December 9.
Adam was discovered with stab wounds and treated at the scene, before being rushed to hospital by paramedics.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, the teen tragically died later that afternoon.
Cops later said Tsidi Winion, 20, had been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the stabbing.
But now, detectives have confirmed they are hunting Abdel Derdour, 22, in connection with the fatal attack.
The Met said Derdour made off towards Caledonian Road following the horror.
He is described as approximately 5ft 8in, slim and of mixed heritage.
Releasing a statement today, the force said Derdour was most recently seen with a moustache and facial hair.
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads policing in Islington, said the man was believed to frequent Holborn and the nearby areas.
He said: “Adam’s family have suffered an unthinkable loss.
“We believe someone out there knows something that could help us bring those responsible to justice.
“If you have seen this man in the days following Adam’s murder, please come forward.
“Even the smallest detail could be the breakthrough our detectives urgently need.
“Our intelligence suggests he frequents Holborn and the surrounding areas.
“If you’d prefer not to speak with police, Crimestoppers offers a completely anonymous way to share what you know.
“You will never be asked for your personal details, and you won’t have to speak to police or give a statement.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference CAD 3568/09DEC, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
In a touching tribute, Adam’s heartbroken relatives hailed him as “beautiful and loving”.
They said: “Our beautiful son, Adam, was cruelly taken away from us on Tuesday afternoon.
“He was a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend and we will never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives.
“He had many interests and was always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humour. He was good natured and loyal.
“While only 15 years old, the beautiful memories we have of him can never be forgotten.
“We ask for privacy as a family so we can grieve and try to process this senseless tragedy together.”
Winion, of Handyside Street in Camden, is due to face trial on August 6 next year.
