SOCIAL media users have been sent into a frenzy over a police e-fit of a bag snatcher who they claim is the spitting image of an iconic boyband star.
Kent Police shared an appeal for information on January 16, following an incident in Ramsgate, Kent, on December 16 last year.

Alongside the appeal the force shared a computer generated image of their suspect in the hopes of bringing him to justice.
Social media users were quick to spot the e-fit’s resemblance to former Take That frontman Gary Barlow however.
The appeal suddenly descended into chaos as back and forth jokes between users filled the comments.
The image generated by cops shows a man in a green beanie style hat and black hooded top.
It boasts long, light coloured hair and a beard and green eyes.
Kent Police described the suspect as white and aged between 45 and 50 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, with fair hair in twists and a braided beard.
The force said: “A computer-generated image has been issued by our officers who are investigating a robbery in Ramsgate on Tuesday 16 December 2025.
“It’s reported a bag was snatched from a teenage boy, after threats were made to him in an alleyway near the train station at around 4.30pm. Our officers attended and initial enquiries were completed.
“An investigation has led to the creation of an e-fit image of a man police wish to identify

One user wrote: “He saw the bag and thought, Take That.”
Another replied: “It’s Gary Barlow dressed as a leprechaun.”
A third said: “Looks like Gary out of Take that.”
Another jokingly commented: “Whatever he said or whatever he did, he didn’t mean it.”
While another added: “I came here to see if I was the only one who thought this.”
