Controversial X Factor star Mason Noise looks worlds away from his very memorable appearance on the ITV talent show.
The Birmingham native, now 32, whose real name is Mason Binnell, competed on The X Factor back in 2015, where he locked horns with Simon Cowell.
The aspiring performer faced off with the judge during the Six Chair Challenge, where he said he wasn’t happy with the length of his audition slot.
After having an argument with Simon on stage, the music mogul told him to leave and Mason promptly dropped his microphone and walked off.
It wasn’t the end of his time on the show however and he ultimately finished in seventh place after being mentored by Nick Grimshaw.
Mason is unrecognisable from his time on the show a decade ago and now describes himself on his Instagram bio as a ‘Musician, Reiki Healer, Inner-Explorer’.

He told his followers: ‘I have chosen to live a better life. I want to participate in creating a better future, and to do that I have realised I must disentangle myself from old patterns.
‘I have to quieten the mind through the connection with my heart, and commit to become more than I ever previously imagined.’
He has also undergone an image overhaul. On the show, Mason sported caps and had short, trimmed facial hair.
Now, the ex-reality star has a much longer beard and often wears a bandanna.
In a past interview with the Birmingham Mail, Mason insisted he is a different person now than the one who viewers met on The X Factor a decade ago.
‘I’ve changed a lot. I think I’ve done a whole 180 degrees about who I am as a person. I’ve been through experiences and had ups and downs in the past year,’ he said.
‘I’ve gone on a spiritual journey, I’ve had counselling and meditation and yoga have really helped me. I went through a spiritual realisation.’

Mason previously told how he feared he would die after he contacted sepsis following a bar fight with a stranger in 2019.
He was bitten during the scuffle and was rushed to hospital after the wound became infected, eventually undergoing two operations.
He later told The Sun: ‘It was classic example of wrong place, wrong time.
‘I’d been visiting friends in the Cotswolds, near Cirencester, with my family and we were staying on a caravan site.
‘I was with a friend and his girlfriend, sitting in my friend’s car having just got home from a night out.
‘It was around 1am in the morning. And this guy who looked like he was on his way home from a night in the pub walked over to us.
‘He was shining a torch in the car and acting aggressively.’
