ALAN Davies revealed he took cocaine during filming of Jonathan Creek.
The comic actor, 59, who shot to fame in the 1990s BBC mystery show, said it was shared by crew.
He wrote: “I joined in a couple of times and then gave it a miss.
“God knows what the producers would have said, had they known. ‘You’re fired’, probably.”
Alan also told how he once took it until dawn “with a bunch of Aussies in a hotel room”.
In new memoir White Male Stand-Up, he wrote: “They were great company but I was taking more cocaine than I’d ever had before.
“I left at about 8am, went home and drank three cans of Heineken for breakfast, standing in my stainless-steel kitchen staring at my pool.”
Davies has since quit drink and drugs.
Two years ago he starred in the BBC adaptation of David Walliams‘ children’s book The Midnight Gang.
He is also known for his role as a permanent panellist on BBC Two quiz game QI.
