COLE PALMER scored his first goal in three months to help beat Chelsea beat Everton 2-0 and end their four-match winless run.
The result eases pressure on boss Enzo Maresca and closes the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal to five points.
The Blues got up and running in the 21st minute as Palmer was played through by Pedro Neto and calmly slotted home to end his goal drought.
It was his first start at Stamford Bridge since August and his first since he recovered from a broken toe.
Neto then fizzed in a cross for Malo Gusto to tap home just before the half time break.
Chelsea had more chances to add to their lead – with Alejandro Garnacho missing two good opportunities – but Maresca will be more than happy with the three points.
More to follow.
