It was the viral kiss-cam video that sparked internet chaos, two job losses, and a very public divorce announcement.
The notorious footage from a Coldplay concert in Boston, Massachusetts, in July showed married Andy Byron, 51, the then chief executive of data firm Astronomer, caught in a cozy embrace with 53-year-old Kristin Cabot, his married now former HR boss.
The mortified pair immediately ducked and tried in vain to shield their faces from view – but Coldplay frontman Chris Martin only made things worse, joking: ‘They’re either having an affair… or are very shy.’
The fallout went global.
Both Byron and Cabot resigned their roles. Byron’s wife, Megan, 50, switched to her maiden name Kerrigan on social media and fled the marital home in Northborough, Massachusetts. Astonomer even hired Chris Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow to star in a reputation-burnishing TV ad.
In the months since, spurned Megan has remained totally out of the spotlight, holed up at their luxury beach house in Kennebunk, Maine, while being supported by family. ‘No trespassing’ signs have even erected around the property in the wake of the scandal.
There has been no sighting or word of her disgraced husband either; giving little clue as to the state of the couple’s relationship after his bombshell indiscretion.
Until now.
For the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal that the pair appear to be working on their marriage, after they were spotted for the first time in months on relaxed outings together near their coastal getaway – and notably still wearing their wedding bands.

And neither spouse has filed for divorce in Massachusetts or Maine, according to court records viewed by the Daily Mail.
On Friday evening, the pair appeared quietly content during a cozy sunset picnic at the beach, with the public storm of recent months a seemingly distant memory.
Seated on deck chairs with sweaters warming their knees against the sea breeze, the casually dressed pair watched the sunset and enjoyed sodas and treats.
Earlier on Friday, Megan had sported a small smile as she carried a brown bag of groceries to her car – with her wedding band in full view.
The fresh-faced mother-of-two was seen with her dark hair in a ponytail and showed off her athletic figure in a white tank top, hot pink shorts and trainers.
A seemingly laid-back Megan wore the same athleisure outfit on the beach – but swapped her trainers for a pair of flip-flops, which she kicked off on the sand.
But her husband appeared to be a shadow of his previously sharp corporate image and still keen to keep a low-profile in the quiet seaside enclave.
The hitherto clean-shaven former boss was almost unrecognizable, sporting a white scruff, spectacles and a back-to-front baseball cap covering his white hair.

Notably, he too wore his silver wedding band.
The pair spent a couple of hours at the beach before packing up their deck chairs and cool bag after sunset.
They got into the same car to return to their four-bed, four-bath, 4,000-sq-ft home, a stone’s throw away from an exclusive golf club.
The following morning, the Byrons were once again all smiles as they were spotted on an early morning stroll together near the beach.
Dressed in sweatsuits for the cooler weather, the pair took a short walk before returning to their luxury pad nearby.
She shielded her eyes from the early morning sun with a pair of chic sunglasses, while her husband wore spectacles and the same baseball cap he wore for their sunset rendezvous.
He was later spotted driving to a local supermarket, where he was seen in the same baseball cap and leaving with armfuls of groceries, including a large pack of seltzers.
When approached by a Daily Mail reporter, Byron listened but remained tight-lipped about the state of his marriage and ignored all our questions before rushing into his car and driving off.

Byron’s resignation from the tech firm – shortly followed by Cabot’s – was widely reported at the time.
It remains unclear if he has found alternative unemployment, after he scrubbed his online profiles from the internet.
But we can reveal that Megan Byron appears to have left or taken a leave of absence from her job at Bancroft School, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the same independent day school the couple’s sons previously attended.
A smiling ‘Meg Byron’ was named and pictured on the school’s website as its associate director of Lower School and Hope Graham program admissions on May 18 this year, according to an archived version of the website seen by the Daily Mail.
But in a second snapshot of the school website taken on July 17 – a day after her husband’s clinch with Cabot – Megan’s name and picture had vanished, with another woman’s name and photo in her place.
Stephanie Luebbers, head of school at Bancroft, said: ‘Bancroft School does not comment on employment history without written authorization from the individual when the request is outside of normal business operations.’
In Maine, many of the couple’s immediate neighbors appeared to have shuttered up their homes after the summer, with workmen seen completing renovations nearby.
The Byrons’ home in Massachusetts appears to be deserted for now, with the blinds wide open and no sign of life at the property save for some automatic sprinklers watering the well-kept front lawn.

Neighbors said they hadn’t seen the Byrons around much.
But one revealed he saw husband and wife separately around three weeks ago.
The neighbor, who did not give his name, said: ‘They typically spend their summer other places, because they have other houses.
‘We have not seen them around much at all. Maybe three weeks ago, one of them was here.
‘We have seen both of them here, but separately.
‘We know them as neighbors to say hello to them, but we don’t hang out with them.’
The latest revelations by the Daily Mail come after a source close to Kristin Cabot insisted last week there was ‘no affair’ between her and Byron and that the only ‘inappropriate’ thing that occurred was their hug.
The unnamed source told People magazine: ‘Kristin and Andy [Byron] had an excellent working relationship, a great friendship. There was no affair.’

The source insisted that while she accepted ‘full responsibility’ for the ‘inappropriate’ embrace between her and her then-boss; the loss of her job and public shaming as a ‘homewrecker’ had been ‘unfair’.
A source close to Cabot claimed to the Times that Byron was separated and living apart from his wife at the time.
The source also revealed that Cabot’s husband Andrew Cabot, 61, the chief executive of Privateer Rum, was at the same Coldplay concert on a date with a woman who is now his girlfriend.
The source said the Cabots, whose marital home is in Rye, New Hampshire, had been amicably ‘separated and living apart for several weeks’ before the concert.
It was previously reported that Andrew Cabot – a member of the elite Cabot family with a fortune believed to be $15billion – who said he was in Japan at the time of the concert.

Earlier this month, Cabot’s second wife Julia exclusively told the Daily Mail that in a text exchange after the footage blew up, Cabot told her he was separating from third wife, Kristin.
A spokeswoman for the businessman confirmed the pair were ‘privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert’ and ‘their decision to was already underway prior to that evening’.
The spokeswoman said no further public comment would be made.
On August 13, Kristin Cabot filed for divorce from her estranged husband at a court in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but the former couple asked for the records to be kept private.
Megan Byron and Bancroft school have not responded to Daily Mail’s requests for comment.
