Chris Hemsworth revealed he eats eight ot ten meals in a day while spilling the beans on his demanding training regime as the actor prepares to play Marvel hero Thor.
The Australian icon, 42, is gearing up to star once again as the Old Norse God in the eagerly-anticipated 2026 movie Avengers: Doomsday.
‘Honestly when I am training to get into shape for Thor, I can eat up to eight meals per day,’ he told The Mirror.
‘I’m consuming 4,000 calories a day… obviously it’s good stuff – not pizza & cheesburgers – but yeah I need to consume a lot of calories.’
The Mad Max favourite accompanies his bulking diet to a gruelling gym workout, with his double stunt Bobby Holland Hanton revealing Chris hits the gym even ‘two or three times a day when he is preparing to play Thor’.
‘I’m eating eight to ten meals a day, which is a decent meal every two hours,’ the Ragnarok star told fitness app Centr.

Amid his challenging preparation process, Chris made time to enjoy some long-awaited family time in Fiji after spending weeks apart from his wife of 15 years Elsa Pataky.
The romantic getaway comes after weeks of speculation about the couple’s marriage, with fans noting that Chris and Elsa had been spending extended periods apart.
While Elsa was based in Byron Bay looking after their three children, Chris was spotted celebrating his milestone 42nd birthday in Ibiza with an A-list entourage including brothers Liam and Luke Hemsworth, Matt Damon, Rita Ora, Taika Waititi and Pia Whitesell.
Elsa stayed on the other side of the world in Australia, after returning home from her native Spain.
The mother-of-three looked somewhat downcast last Friday while running her errands as she ferried a box of goods from the shops to her car and took what appeared to be a tense phone call.
Meanwhile, 15,853km away, the atmosphere was electric as Chris and his famous friends enjoyed the birthday bash on Sunday amid the sparkling Ibiza waters.
Although Elsa did not accompany her husband at the celebration, she did share a sweet birthday tribute to him on social media on his actual birthday.
Alongside a throwback photo of her embracing Chris, Elsa wrote some heartfelt words: ‘Happy Birthday to my Rocky Balboa. You’re the best of the best.’

It comes after Chris and Elsa spent most of the European summer apart.
Elsa was in her native Spain for weeks, filming her new TV series, Matices.
Meanwhile, Chris spent time abroad, including an appearance at the final day of Wimbledon without Elsa.
Chris also enjoyed a beachside escape in Hossegor, France, with his longtime personal trainer and best mate, Luke Zocchi, while Elsa enjoyed her own holiday in her native Spain.
They later reunited in July for the Thor star’s new National Geographic series, Limitless: Live Better Now, with twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, 11, in London.
The couple tied the knot during the Christmas holidays in 2010.
The Hemsworths have made Byron Bay their home in recent years, after relocating from Los Angeles to Australia nine years ago.
