DOZENS of flights have been delayed this morning amid torrential rainfall.
Flights departing Manchester Airport have been delayed after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain over the region.
It is understood that some of the runways have also been closed due to repairs taking place on the taxiway due to a minor defect.
The repairs are expected to be fixed within a couple of hours but the rainfall will continue to delay flights.
The weather is causing the repairs to take longer than usual and sparking disruption at the busy airport.
