Thursday night’s Celebrity Traitors round table got heated as rugby legend Joe Marler went head to head with the show’s ‘big dog’ Jonathan Ross.
After voicing his suspicions about Traitor Jonathan to Nick Mohammad, strident faithful Joe declared: ‘I’m going to go for Jonathan. He’s the wolf of the traitors, time’s up for Mr Ross.’
The fifth banishment ceremony got heated with Jonathan, Joe Marler, Nick, David Olusoga and Stephen Fry all finding themselves in the spotlight.
After days of making the case for his ‘big dog theory’, that either Stephen Fry and Jonathan were leaders of the faithful and traitors, he turned on the ITV presenter.
Joe declared ‘I’m trying to find a traitor’ at the roundtable as he eyed down Jonathan. Jonathan asked: ‘So you think it’s me? Looking at me like that.’
Joe replied: ‘I’m trying to find a traitor.’ Before Jonathan fired back: ‘We are all trying to find a traitor, Joe.’

After voicing his suspicions about Traitor Jonathan to Nick Mohammad, strident faithful Joe declared: ‘I’m going to go for Jonathan. He’s the wolf of the traitors , time’s up for Mr Ross’
Then the former rugby prop snarled: ‘We’re not all trying to find a traitor, are we?’
Joe methodically laid out his charge against Jonathan, arguing that his suspicions had been aroused when Ruth Codd had been murdered after she had accused Jonathan of being a traitor.
‘Someone as clever as you would use that as a double bluff,’ he told him.
When Joe revealed that he had voted for Jonathan for banishment, the TV star brutally told him: ‘I don’t like you anymore.’
As the attention turned to Joe with Lucy Beaumont and Jonathan both suspecting him, Nick spoke up for his ally, revealing how he had earlier sabotaged the mission.
And Nick’s confession swayed the vote, with Jonathan changing his vote from Joe at the last minute to Stephen, who was banished with four votes.
Fans were left frustrated, with one viewer posting on X: ‘It’s only Joe that’s talking sense.’
‘Why the hell is Joe now getting attacked for trying to find traitors? This isn’t a happy holiday camp, it’s time play the bloody game!’ added another.

‘Sassy Joe Marler is EVERYTHING to me,’ laughed another.
Joe himself admitted ‘tonight was really, really frustrated’, before deciding he had work to do. ‘My conviction to my Faithfuls so we can get aligned and they believe in my Jonathan theory.’
Ultimately, with four players – Jonathan, David, Nick, and Cat Burns – convinced that Stephen Fry was a Traitor he was booted from the castle to the amazement of the faithful at the close of the episode.
In his exit interview, Stephen shared: ‘It’s frustrating that the Traitors have done so well and there is no technique.
Celebrity Traitors fans were left speechless once again at the end of Thursday’s episode as ‘one of the big dogs’ was the next star to be banished
‘Of course, we fool ourselves, which is unbelievably stupid, because you have to accept the fact that human beings cannot read lies and that human beings are brilliant dissemblers and pretenders, and there’s no way of telling.
‘If some people are accused at the roundtable, they sometimes go off into these complicated, ridiculous excuses as to why they are irrefutably a Faithful. When I was accused, I just laughed.
