ALL Stars winner Casey O’Gorman has taken a swipe at new bombshell Samie Elishi after she called him “Lord Farquaad” and branded the show a “joke” for signing him up for a third time last year.
Samie arrived in the villa tonight as one of three new arrivals, having been a latecomer last year.
Casey drew attention to her apparent hypocrisy in his latest Instagram upload, resharing the clip of Samie tearing into him.
Speaking inside her car, Samie said: “I’m sorry but I can’t help but laugh. Who has just seen the first look for Love Island?
“Lord Farquaad is back, again. Haven’t we all had enough of Casey. The show’s a bit of a joke at this point.”
Back in the present day, Casey took a sip of his drink and said: “Cheers, Samie.”
Sophie Piper defended her pal, commenting: “Just cause you didn’t get the call up this time [snoring emoji].”
Casey replied: “nice one, Soph.”
Lord Farquaad is an animated character from the first Shrek film. An undersized man with a strong jawline, he sends ogre Shrek to rescue Princess Fiona from a castle guarded by a fire-breathing dragon so that he can marry her and become king.
Casey ended up winning Love Island on his third attempt, alongside ex-girlfriend Gabby Allen.
They split just months after leaving the villa and winning £50,000, but came face to face again when they flew to Fiji to star on Love Island Games.
Meanwhile, Scott van-der-Sluis returned as the first bombshell this series for what is now his fourth time in the franchise.
We recently revealed Casey is in the running for E4’s Celebs Go Dating, which starts filming this month.
It makes it very unlikely he’ll return to Love Island this series.
A source said: “Everyone is convinced that Casey will be returning but he’s in talks for Celebs Go Dating which makes it extremely unlikely.
“E4 start filming that in two weeks which of course is a total clash.
“Of course if E4 decide not to proceed with Casey, he’s so loved by ITV it’s possible he could still fly out as a late bombshell.
“The chance to have villa alumni Tom Clare and new fiancee Molly call in to chat to Casey is irresistible.”
Casey wouldn’t be the first Love Islander to appear on Celebs Go Dating, with Liv Hawkins, Liam Reardon and Chloe Burrows having already tried their luck at love on the show.
