Carry On star Julian Holloway’s will is revealed as supermodel daughter Sophie Dahl is left a fraction of his sizeable fortune

Carry On legend and Doctor Who star Julian Holloway’s will has been revealed – with his supermodel daughter receiving just a fraction of the sizeable fortune.

The actor, who was a mainstay of the Carry On franchise in the 1960s and 1970s, had nearly £500,000 to his name when he died in February at the age of 80. The £493,917 pot was reduced to £480,891 after deductions.

Documents have now revealed Holloway left just £25,000 each to his supermodel daughter Sophie Dahl and stepdaughter Kate Gregory.

His stepson Joel Gregory, who was appointed the will administrator, received the bulk of the money, the documents show.

Joel and Kate are the children of Holloway’s second wife Debbie Wheeler, who he married in 1991.

Sophie, 47, on the other hand, was born from a brief romance between Holloway and Tessa Dahl – the daughter of bestselling author Roald Dahl – in 1977.

The former fashion model followed in the footsteps of her famous grandfather when she penned her own novel in 2003.

She has since gone on to release a number of cookery books as well as children’s stories.

As well as dividing up the money, Holloway stated in his will he would like his ashes scattered at Lords Cricket Ground in London or Sudbrooke Park Golf Club in Surrey.

Another notable role he played was Sergeant Paterson in the final ‘classic era’ Doctor Who television story, Survival in 1989.

Holloway’s other television credits include Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads, Beverly Hills, 90210, Minder, The Professionals, The New Avengers, Z-Cars and The World of Wodehouse.

Julian was born in Watlington, Oxfordshire, in June 1944, and was educated at Ludgrove School, Harrow School, and later the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

He began his career in 1961, featuring in an episode of The Avengers, before his first major acting role as Quentin in the 1962 TV season of Our Man Higgins – he played this character in four episodes.

Julian then quickly rose to fame as one of the mainstays in the Carry On film franchise, alongside the likes of Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtrey.

Following this, he featured in an episode of police drama The Sweeney and had performances in a range of other shows.
