CAROL Vorderman has revealed a fresh health scare and says she’s been “very poorly” after quitting her LBC Sunday radio show last year.
The 64-year-old made the announcement that she was leaving behind her job in October 2024 following an undisclosed “health scare”.
Now the I’m A Celebrity star has explained that she’s been “very poorly” but has managed to come out of the other side.
She told OK!: “This year has been a bit hellish health-wise.
“I’ve been very poorly, not related to the burnout but something entirely different.
“I’m on the right medications now, but it’s only in the last month or so that I felt I’ve got my mojo back. So watch out, world!”

The mum-of-two went on to say that she’s been spending time with friends and travelling to help pick her up and enjoy her new spare time.
Carol continued: “I’ve had lots of mini-breaks and holidays with friends — gay friends, female friends I’ve had for 50 years, or some I’ve known for 10.
“I’ve been back to horse racing, I’ve travelled to the States, to France, to everywhere, actually!
“Going back and seeing old friends has been wonderful. And the right friends, too. I think I’ve managed to drop all the bad ones. It’s easy to forget how much your old friends love you.
“I’ve had messages to say, ‘Oh, come and stay in our villa’, or ‘Come and visit us on our boat’. It’s lovely to be so loved, really.”
Last year, she took to Instagram to announce she was stepping down from her gig at LBC in order to put her health and wellbeing first.
Addressing her fans, Carol told them: “I’ve got some news to share with you.
“After working 7-day weeks for as long as I can remember, I finally burned out just over 2 weeks ago and I ended up overnight in hospital.”
She then reassured her followers that there was nothing sinister going on, adding: “Luckily, after many scans and checks, we know that I don’t have any underlying health issues whatsoever.”
The scare, however, made Carol reassess her life and what was important.
She explained: “So, after a proper talking to from my family and my buddies, I’ve taken the health scare as a warning sign to slow down slightly and have decided to cut my work back to weekdays for now.
“It pains me to have to do it, but I’ve decided not to carry on with my Sunday show on LBC.”
Carol went on to say that she was sad to leave the job as she loves it.
“I’m fed up that I’ve had to make the decision, as the show’s been really lively and a total joy, with so many new callers from around the country and growing numbers of listeners.”
She reassured her listeners that she would “still be part of the LBC family” and would make appearances on the network “from time to time.”
Carol also vowed to “continue to make a lot of mischief and call out corruption and wrongdoing.”
The former Countdown star was spotted at Ascot Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse today and she made sure all eyes were on her as she stunned in a blue number.
She proved she wasn’t letting her health woes get her down as she opted to wear a royal blue suit with a blazer and trousers and stuck to the blue theme with a sky blue coat draped over her shoulders.
The host, who is gearing up to host the Pride of Britain Awards next week, wore her brunette hair in loose curls and went for a stunning make-up look, complete with a nude lip.
She was pictured sitting in the stands and watching the jockeys as she read a program for the prestigious event.
