Care plan for Southport killer Axel Rudakubana warning he was cold and calculating was watered down, inquiry hears

A CARE plan for the Southport killer warning he was cold and calculating was watered down, an inquiry has heard.

References to Axel Rudakubana’s behaviour as sinister and inappropriate were also deleted.

A comment about his “perceived sense of injustice” was amended after talks with his parents.

And the remark that “Axel can also appear to be cold and calculating” was also scotched.

The deleted remark added: “Axel is unable to let go of any real or perceived injustice and his father believes that if Axel is respected by others then there will be no difficulties but if something is said to him then he will react.”

The edits from 2020 and 2021 were shown at the inquiry into his killing of three girls at a dance class last year

It also heard he rarely attended school for two years but his family objected to his being expelled, saying it would affect their benefits

His father suggested leaving Rudakubana on the roll but giving the place to someone else.

Teachers from Presfield High School were stopped by his family from seeing him on home visits over fears he would be violent.

Alice Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Stancombe, seven, were stabbed to death at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29 last year by Rudakubana, then aged 17.

The inquiry continues.
