‘Captain MM7’ – Mason Mount hailed for way he treated Leny Yoro after Man Utd star gifted Crystal Palace a penalty

MASON MOUNT has been hailed for his classy act with Manchester United team-mate Leny Yoro at Selhurst Park.

The young defender gifted Crystal Palace their opener after fouling Jean- Philippe Mateta – with the Eagles star converting from the spot.

Ruben Amorim’s men went in a goal down at the break, but the Red Devils producing a spirited fight back in the second period to turn the game on its head and secure all three points.

Joshua Zirkzee and Mount grabbed the goals for the visitors – but it was the treatment of Yoro – hooked before the hour – that caught the eye on social media.

One punter wrote: “Captain MM7.”

Another commented: “Good on Mount, Yoro is young and this will be part of his growth. But he still needs support.”

A fellow punter posted: “BIG UP to Mason Mount for this after the game btw. Yoro is going through a tough patch that all young stars go through, but he’s an incredible talent and I’m glad to see the others helping him.”

One further United fan said: “This is great from Mason Mount after the game supporting Leny Yoro who is having a tough time at the moment.”

Yoro didn’t escape the pundit microscope at half-time as Joe Cole and Peter Crough delivered their views on the penalty incident.

Cole told TNT Sport: “It’s just so clumsy.
