A British widow who believed she was in a relationship with Jason Momoa has been conned out of £500k.
The scammer sent her AI videos of the Hollywood hunk claiming that he would use the money to build their dream home in Hawaii.
She started the relationship after the star seemingly replied back to her on a post on a fan page for the actor.
He then requested cash, claiming his fortune was tied up in film projects.
The grandmother then transferred half a million from the sale of her house in Cambridgeshire.
After she sent the money the messages stopped and her heartthrob boyfriend vanished.
Cambridgeshire Police said: ‘This might sound far-fetched but it’s a true story and it left a vulnerable woman without a home.’
In the past five months, other victims in the UK and the US including a grandmother in Newcastle who was duped into sending £80,000.

She told The Sun: ‘I had conversations with who I thought was his daughter who was turning 15.
‘I was also told he was fighting his ex-wife for the house and he said we needed a marriage certificate to keep the house. So I was gullible and paid it.’
Dave York, a fraud prevention officer, said: ‘Scammers target those at their lowest ebb, looking to fill a gap in their lives.’
Jason Momoa has starred in numerous box office hits, including Dune and the Minecraft Movie.
He is perhaps most famous for playing the superhero Aquaman from the DC Comics.
