BRITAIN’S Got Talent fans were treated to a show-stopping performance from the star of West End musical Tina during tonight’s episode.
Karis Anderson – who plays the iconic Tina Turner in the musical – gave Britain’s Got Talent viewers a preview of the show, which tells the story of the late singer.
But some might have been left wondering where they’d seen Karis, 35, before – despite her transformation into Tina.
One viewer wrote on social media: “Karis Anderson singing Tina Turner should win Britain’s Got Talent.”
Another said: “The amazingly fabulous Tina Musical to start!”
When she’s not wowing audiences with her rendition of Proud Mary, she’s one third of girl group Stooshe – who shot to fame in 2012.

Known for hits including Love Me and Black Heart – which charted at number three upon its release – the group – also made up of Alexandra Buggs and Courtney Rumbold – dropped their first album to huge critical acclaim.
Despite this, they haven’t released new music since 2016 and Alexandra last year posted on their official Instagram to confirm they have no plans to drop new tracks.
She said: “Hey loves, I’m sorry to say we aren’t announcing new music before I get your hopes up.
“Your girls a mumma (been for a couple years now lol) and I am starting a new business within the parent and baby space.”
Stooshe parted ways with their record label a year after their debut album was released after they clashed over the decision to record a version of TLC’s Waterfalls.
The girls have been open about the fact they weren’t happy with covering the iconic record, with Karis previously telling the Daily Star: “We are pretending ‘Waterfalls’ didn’t happen.
“That song was never our decision. We love the TLC version, but we didn’t like it as a single for us.”
