A bodybuilder has been brutally murdered after a fight outside his apartment in Brazil, with police suspecting his girlfriend.
Valter de Vargas Aita, 41, was stabbed to death on Sunday morning and his girlfriend, who is suspected of murder, has also been hospitalized and is fighting for her life due to her injuries. Police say that she had a stab wound.
If she survives, police in Brazil have said that they will arrest her on suspicion of murder. She was already wanted by authorities in connection to an armed robbery which could see her face up to 15 years in jail.
Police relased horrifying pictures of the crime scene in the city of Chapeco, with pools of blood on the floor where Aita’s lifeless body had been found.
Authorities said he had been stabbed multiple times, with wound in his abdomen, back, face and neck he had been found dead on some stairs through a bloody trail he left trying to escape the scene.
Other gruesome pictures released from the crime scene show blood up the walls of a stairwell and across the floor outside of a doorway.

When Aita’s girlfriend was found, she was immediately rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries of her own and needed emergency surgery.
Cops have not yet revealed what caused them to have the fight that escalated so dramatically, only saying that they had a ‘heated arguement’ before things became violent.
The girlfriend has not yet been identified, with police only saying that she lived with Aita and was 43 years old.
As well as being a World Fitness Federation runner-up in the bodybuilding world, Aita was also a five-time state bodybuilding champion.
He had been working as a personal trainer at the time of his death and had built up a respectable following across social media through his diet and workout tips.
