Two young Florida boys are facing charges for allegedly destroying a school media room after they were turned in by their own mothers.
Felix Cohen Romero, 12, and Bentley Ryan Wehrly, 13, were named as the two youngsters allegedly responsible for tearing apart the school library room at Friendship Elementary School in Deltona.
Deputies discovered the mess when they were called to the school on Sunday when a fire alarm went off, and said the boys caused at least $50,000 in damage.
Body camera footage of the moment deputies found the media room showed furniture was turned over, TVs destroyed, and broken appliances were scattered through the room.
The two boys had also allegedly smashed a glass door and vandalized the entirety of the library room.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office initially released photos of the suspects wearing masks as they entered the school over the weekend, and asked for the public’s help identifying them.
In an update the next day, the office said Romero and Wehrly were arrested after their mothers turned them in.

Investigators said that the boys confessed to destroying the room when confronted.
The authorities said that the boys returned late on Sunday night to look over the damage, and set of fire alarms as they then continued rampaging through the room.
The boys were each charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of trespassing on school ground, criminal mischief and theft.
One of the boys’ moms who turned them in, Corey Romero, says on her social media that she is a single mother.
‘Being a single mom is twice the work, twice the stress, and twice the tears but also twice the hugs,’ she writes on her Facebook.
