A 14-YEAR-old boy who was allegedly shot dead told his mum that he was going to film a rap video and never came back home.
Emergency services found Eghosa Ogbebor dead in Woolwich, south-east London, on April 2.
The schoolboy, who recorded drill songs under the name Y.Risky, was allegedly shot after he told his mum that he was going to film a video with his friends.
Police have arrested three teenagers in connection to the alleged murder of Eghosa.
Eghosa’s aunty told Metro: “He loved music he was so talented and lived for it. On the day he was shot, he had gone out to film a video with his friends.
“He never came back. His mother is broken. He was so young, he had his whole life ahead of him. He was so young, just a boy.”
Officers were called to reports of the shooting in Lord Warwick Street at around 3.40pm last Thursday.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, Eghosa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man on suspicion of murder – both remain in police custody.
The force also arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Following the arrests, an 18-year-old and two 14-year-old boys were also arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday.
The 18 and 14-year-olds have since been released on bail.
Outside of the family home, neighbours and friends have laid flowers in memory of Eghosa.
DCI Lucie Card, whose team is leading the investigation, said: “Our team of dedicated detectives are continuing enquiries to investigate Eghosa’s tragic death.
“Residents in Woolwich may have noticed a large amount of police activity last night, as officers arrested three further people in connection with the investigation.
“We appreciate the concern that Eghosa’s death has caused, particularly among the local community who will continue to see an increased police presence around the area.
“There may be people who have heard information or witnessed suspicious activity in the area but not yet contacted police.
“We urge these people to contact us and assist with the investigation.”
