Boy, 12, found with ‘head laceration’ after horrific ‘attack’ as cops arrest man, 18

A TEENAGER has been arrested after a schoolboy was discovered with a head injury following an alleged attack.

Cops were called to reports of a 12-year-old boy with a “laceration to his head” at around 7.15pm on Saturday, April 4.

The boy was treated at the scene on Shakespeare Street, Coventry and taken to hospital.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of assault.

He was later released without charge but investigations are still ongoing.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers were called to Shakespeare Street in Coventry at 7.15pm last night (April 4) to reports that a 12-year-old boy had been injured.

“He was treated by officers at the scene and taken to hospital with a laceration to his head. 

“Following enquiries, a teenager, aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been released with no further action.”
