Brighton midfielder Jack Hinshelwood
“When you come to Man City it’s a tough place to come. They’ve not been their best this season, but it is still a hard place to come.
“The run we’re on we’ve gone into every game believing we can beat anybody. The fans have been unbelievable. If we can keep this momentum going it’s going to be hard to stop us.
“Last season we had a taste of what Europe can be like. As a club we’re driving to getting back to that feeling.”
Everton scorer Jake O’Brien:
“We just flooded the box with bodies. We were chasing the game a bit.
“The first half we had a lot of chances. We were flat for 20 minutes and that’s when they caught us but then we got together and chased the game.
“The crowd were amazing. It’s amazing we’re eight games unbeaten. The fans pushed us until the end.
“The last couple of games we got draws we could have turned into wins. But we need more points. We want to climb the table more.”
Man City 2 Brighton 2
From SunSport’s Martin Blackburn:
“Carlos Baleba will have nightmares about his late miss if Brighton do not get European football for next season.
“The Cameroonian got on the end of a Joao Pedro cross and had the goal at his mercy but blazed it over the bar.
“A win would not have flattered the Seagulls who more than played their part in a thrilling game.
“Erling Haaland’s early pen – his 100th goal involvement in the Prem in record time – was cancelled out by Pervis Estupian’s free-kick.
“Omar Marmoush restored City’s lead but an own goal from Abdukodir Khusanov gave the Seagulls a point.
“Both sides have work to do after the break if they are to secure a top five finish.”
Ipswich 2 Forest 4
From SunSport’s Dan King:
“Jens Cajuste’s goal was too little too late for Ipswich. The away fans have been singing “Real Madrid, we’re coming for you”. You would not bet against it.
“After Gibbs-White squared for Jota Silva to make it 4-1 to Forest, they added: ‘Thomas Tuchel, what a w**ker, what a w**ker’.
“Ed Sheeran has received the same treatment before George Hirst headed Ipswich’s second. Nuno has obeyed their request for a wave or two.”
93′ – Ipswich 2 Forest 4
A late consolation strike for Ipswich, who net through sub Hirst.
But there’s nothing that can be done for the result.
If only Ipswich had turned up sooner…
