There are plenty of things we don’t love about winter: the dark evenings; the persistent rain; every last drop of Vitamin D draining from our bodies. But when it comes to clothes, there’s no better time of the year. The colder weather lends itself to snuggly items from puffer coats to knitted jumpers, allowing you to stay both stylish and cosy.

Fashion’s favoured aesthetic for the past few seasons has been extremely pared-back. Think of the plain beige or grey jumpers everyone’s been wearing to channel ‘stealth wealth’, or the proliferation of ‘tonal dressing’ that can essentially boiled down to brown-on-brown.

Christian Dior’s 2025 Resort Collection featured black, grey and red argyle knits, with Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta and Prada releasing their own versions shortly after. Hailey Bieber’s favourite is Loewe’s head-turning canary yellow sweater, with a rather cool £1,120 price tag.
