Body pulled from lake in city centre after hunt for missing man, 26, last seen near popular nightclub

COPS searching for a missing man have recovered a body from a lake in a city centre.

West Midlands Police pulled the body out of a lake at Swanswell Park, Coventry, on February 4.

It is believed to be 26-year-old Vishnu Jayakumar who was last seen on January 31 near the city’s popular nightclub Kasbah.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “We recovered a body from a pool at Swanswell Park, Coventry, last night (4 Feb), at around 4pm.

“We believe the body to be 26-year-old Vishnu who we circulated as missing this week.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the coroner. His family have been notified and our thoughts remain with his loved ones at this difficult time.”
