IT makes a “versatile and space efficient” addition to any lounge.
And while B&M’s Home Collection black tray table was already a bargain after dropping from £12 to £6, it’s now had its price slashed to just £3.
Donna took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to share her epic find, as she called the table “absolutely gawjus”.
“B&M – down to £3 nationwide,” she wrote alongside a picture of the boxed table, and how it looked once she’d set it up.
The price reduction is also listed on the B&M website, which describes the table as “a contemporary round, metal table” that’s “ideal for living rooms or even bathrooms”.
The comments section was immediately filled with people weighing in on the bargain, with one tagging a pal and writing: “Next time your in B&M, look out for this.
“I’d like a couple!”
“That’s so nice,” another added.
“Keep your eye out for me please!” a third commented.
The popularity of tray tables is showing no sign of taking a nose dive any time soon.
According to the experts at House & Garden, “today’s tray tables are versatile and space-efficient, doing their job without a bulky footprint or cumbersome solid elements”.
“Unlike so many furnishings, they are neither the preserve of the pared-back and contemporary, nor are they favoured by antique-hunting, cottage dwellers.”
IKEA’s GLADOM tray table is another favourite, thanks to its versatility and the £15 price tag.
“Sturdy – this little table is rock solid and you can remove the top and use it as a tray,” one happy customer said of the table.
“Good quality, I purchased two!”
“This is a fantastic little table,” another wrote.
“I have two of them in my living room perfect for just having lights on.”
“Great wee table, even greater price, definitely recommend it, we liked it so much that we bought another one,” a third commented.
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
- Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
- Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
- You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
- Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
- If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
- You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
“Great value for money. Ideal for small spaces,” someone else said.
“I love that the tray is removable. A great purchase!”
“Fantastic metal table to hold your pot plants, mine is currently holding three orchids,” another added.
“Lip on the edge of the table keeps any water from leaking onto the carpets, recommended to anyone with pot plants.
“Great price too!”
