A “WONDERFUL” shoe store will be closing its doors for good in a few months due to rising costs.
The company will be giving up the Lake District location at the end of June.

The Charles Clinkard store in Keswick announced the closure due to increasing costs and a review of its retail portfolio.
The retailer said it is looking into “alternative options” to maintain its presence in the tourist town following the closure of its store on 30 Main Street.
A spokesperson for Charles Clinkard said: “We can confirm that the unit for our Charles Clinkard store in Keswick is currently being marketed as part of a review of our retail portfolio.
“This is due to increasing costs, therefore we have made the decision to explore alternative options in Keswick to futureproof our high street presence in the town.
“Our focus is on continuing to serve our customers in Keswick with our doors remaining open until June, and our commitment to providing quality footwear and exceptional service will continue through our stores and website.”
The Clinkard Group, a family-run business, operates 33 stores across the UK.
It opened the Keswick store in 2008, selling a wide range of high-quality footwear for men, women, and children.
One shopper said the shop was “wonderful” after finding the “perfect shoes”.
The property has been put on the market for rent at £47,500 per year, described as sitting in a prime shopping destination.
