The 37-year-old star, already under public scrutiny thanks to her messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni — which includes a massive lawsuit against her and husband Ryan Reynolds — fueled even more buzz with the bonkers plotline in Another Simple Favor.
Lively, who recently confessed she’s faced some of the ‘lowest of lows of her life’ this year, plays Emily, one of three secret triplets in the movie. In a wild scene, Emily shares a passionate kiss with her sister Charity — also played by Lively.
It doesn’t stop there. Charity later drugs Emily, lays her limp body on the bed, arranges Emily’s arms around her in an embrace, and plants another kiss.

The shock comes just months after White Lotus stirred controversy with its own incest storyline — and viewers noticed.
‘So now 2 incest scenes between this & White Lotus in the past few months. Hollywood is pushing this now. Bunch of lowlifes. Shame on Lively,’ fumed a critic.
And one unimpressed viewer declared, ‘Blake makes out with her twin sister. Then apparently there’s a secret triplet, just ridiculous. I won’t watch anything Blake or Ryan are in from now on.’
Of course, incest isn’t a new shock tactic in this franchise. The original 2018 A Simple Favor saw Anna Kendrick’s character Stephanie sleep with her half-brother — leading to Blake Lively’s now-iconic line: ‘Brotherf–ker!’
Naturally, Another Simple Favor had to up the ante.
Directed by Paul Feig, the sequel picks up seven years later with Emily (Lively) fresh out of prison and planning a lavish wedding in Capri. She ropes Stephanie (Kendrick) into being her maid of honor — partly by threat, partly for fun.

Her latest post comes on the heels of her Thursday appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers — Blake’s first talk show since her legal battle with Justin Baldoni ignited last December.

When Meyers tiptoed around the topic of her clash with Baldoni — whom she’s accused of sexual harassment — he said, ‘I imagine you’re in a situation where you can’t say anything.’
Blake replied, ‘What I can say without going too into it is that this year has been the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in my life, and I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially right now, afraid to share their experiences, and fear is by design.’
‘It’s what keeps us silent. But I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak.’
‘So I do feel fortunate that I’ve been able to and as a woman, you have the ability to use your voice — that’s kept me strong and helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls. It’s a pretty simple thing.’
She and Baldoni are set to head to court in March 2026.
