Best UK takeaway orders revealed by Deliveroo

THE most popular UK takeaway orders have been revealed – read below to see if YOUR local is on the list.

Deliveroo, the fast food delivery app, has shared the most popular grub Brits wanted sent to their door this year.

It comes as part of its annual ‘Deliveroo 100 Report’, showcasing trending orders from around the world in 2025.

Across the UK, there were over 27 food items that Brits craved the most, while a few non-food items such as a fan from Wilko also made the cut.

Taking the number one spot was The Classic Bagel from Papo’s Bagels, in London, Shoreditch.

This delight features smoked salmon, cream cheese, sliced red onion, tomatoes and capers.

Meanwhile, punters craved the Dirty Meal Deal from 7Bone in Reading so much that it scooped a second place spot.

This massive feast costs over £20 and features a large burger, chips and a drink.

Coming in at number three on the list was the Ultimate Crunch Combo from London sandwich shop Crunch.

The meal, which costs £19.95, lets hungry customers build their own sandwich with a choice of 1000 layer potatoes or pepperoni
lasagna bites and drink on the side.

Taking the number four spot was orders for Jason’s Sourdough bread from Morrisons in Manchester.

And in number five was Garlic Parmesan 3 piece tenders from Wingstop in Birmingham.

The popular fast food spot charges around £6.25 for this combo.

Other dishes making the list were the Breakfast Bao from Pablo Eggsgobao in Edinburgh and Matcha Iced Latte from JENKI in London.

Jeff Wemyss, Deliveroo vice president of Regional Growth, said: “This year’s list clearly shows the strong connection between communities and their beloved independent restaurants, which sit proudly alongside our favorite chains. “

“We’re also seeing an evolution in the way people shop, with non-food orders rapidly growing across the UK.

“In today’s fast-paced world, convenience is a top priority, and we are committed to being the go-to for getting consumers what they need, exactly when they need it.”

How to save money on your takeaway

TAKEAWAYS taste great but they can hit you hard on your wallet. Here are some tips on how to save on your delivery:

Cashback websites– TopCashback and Quidco will pay you to order your takeaway through them. They’re paid by retailers for every click that comes to their website from the cashback site, which eventually trickles down to you. So you’ll get cashback on orders placed through them.

Discount codes – Check sites like VoucherCodes for any discount codes you can use to get money off your order.

Buy it from the shops – Okay, it might not taste exactly the same but you’ll save the most money by picking up your favourite dish from your local supermarket.

Student discounts – If you’re in full-time education or a member of the National Students Union then you may be able to get a discount of up to 15 per cent off the bill. It’s always worth asking before you place your order.
