THE best Italian restaurants across the UK have been crowned in a huge award ceremony – read below to see if YOUR favourite is on the list.
The winners of the this year’s Italian awards were revealed in a glam ceremony at the Marriott Grosvenor Hotel in Mayfair.
The event, which first launched in 2012, aims to celebrate the best Italian dining and food across the UK.
Over 20 businesses and restaurants took a crown, including Bar Italia in London’s Soho, which was named the top caffé.
The joint is a popular spot for post-club crowds and musicians, staying open until 4am.
One pleased punter said you can “truly feel the magic this place gives you.”
“From a cup of coffee, to delicious pizza, and finishing with tiramisu, everything is wonderful,” the review continued.
In the Midlands, San Pietro Restaurant in Scunthorpe was named the best restaurant in the region.
The popular joint serves a range of Sicilian dishes, such as aubergine parmigiana.
In Yorkshire, La Bella Vita in Leeds was named the top spot of the area.
Diners can expect to tuck into comforting Italian dishes such as ravioli and pizza.
