Lilly was pulled from the water and given emergency treatment but tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious, cops said.

Lilly was named at an inquest at Cornwall Coroner’s Court today.

The hearing was adjourned until a later date and no further details were given.

Heartbreaking tributes have now poured in for the schoolgirl.

A GoFundMe launched by a close family friend said: “Nick and Vanya [Lilly’s parents] are now in the most heart breaking situation.

“As, many of you now know, their beautiful daughter has lost her life. In the most tragic and unexpected of circumstances.

“Nick is such a positive, kind being. It would be so great if we could all come together and support him and the family.

“Any help would be appreciated. Just to help them navigate their way through, their loss. Much love to you.”

Police were joined by HM Coastguard teams and paramedics in the search for the child.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Emergency services were called at around 6pm on Saturday 16 August to Wacker Quay at Antony, near Torpoint, following concerns for a person in the water.

“A child was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.

“Next of kin have been informed and will be supported by officers.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
