BAILEYS has released a new festive flavour based on an iconic chocolate treat.
The chocolatey alcoholic drink is a must-have at Christmas – and now it’s joined up with another festive favourite.
Bailey’s x Terry’s Chocolate Orange Irish Cream Liqueur is now on sale at Sainsbury’s.
Bottles are selling for £16.50 but you can get them for £11 if you have a Nectar card.
The drink combines the classic Baileys Original Irish Cream with the creamy flavours of chocolate and zesty orange.
The new flavour is limited edition but it’s not clear how long it will be available for.
It’s currently sold out online so appears to have proved wildly popular already.
However you may still be able to pick it up in your local Sainsbury’s store.
Baileys suggests enjoying the drink over ice or drizzled over your dessert for an extra treat.
Shoppers have been going wild for the new drink on social media.
One person commented: “Now this is a chocolate orange product I would buy!”
Another wrote: “Take all my money.”
Meanwhile another simply said: “This is dangerous.”
Baileys was first created in 1974 and has become a Christmas staple.
Over the years it has come up with all sorts of delicious flavours including Apple Crumble, Mint Choc Shake and Cinnamon Swirl.
If you’re wanting to find a cheaper version of Baileys, Aldi is famous for its Ballycastle Irish Cream Liqueur dupes.
In fact, there is already a similar version to the Baileys x Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
You can get the Ballycastle Chocolate Clementine Cream Liqueur for £7.29 in Aldi stores.
Other Ballycastle flavours include White Chocolate, Strawberries and Cream, and Mint Choc Chip.
The new festive releases you need to know about
The build-up to the festive season is well and truly upon us now – at least as far as supermarkets are concerned.
Major brands have been bringing back some of our festive favourites, as well as launching new treats.
M&S has just brought back its popular Milk Chocolate & Cinnamon Tortilla Rolls.
Meanwhile Pringles has unveiled a new Santa’s Mystery Flavour, which leaves shoppers guessing as to what flavour it is.
And it’s brought back its Roast Turkey and Pigs in Blankets flavours.
Plus, Quality Street tubs have already landed back on shelves.
The treat-filled tins are a big hit over Christmas and can get pretty cheap when the price war heats up.
Tesco was previously running an offer where you could pick up a 600g tub for £2.95 if you had a Clubcard.
On the topic of chocolates, Mars has also revealed its Christmas chocolate range for this year.
Some of the new treats include a Milky Way Advent Calendar, Gingerbread Maltesers Reindeer and Maltesers Christmas Mix Bag.
How to cut the cost of your grocery shop
SAVING on your shop can make a big difference to your wallet. Here are some tips from comparison site Money.co.uk about how you can cut the cost of your shopping bills:
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – you are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
