TWO high-speed trains have derailed in Spain, killing two and injuring many others.
Emergency services were deployed to the scene, with images circulating on social media showing rescue teams working in pitch-black conditions.
One of the trains had departed from Málaga and was travelling to Madrid when it came off the tracks.
A second train, bound for Huelva and running on an adjacent line, also derailed in the incident.
The full scale of the incident is still unclear, and authorities have not yet confirmed the number of casualties.
However, it is feared that two passengers are dead and many injured in what has been described as a serious crash.
Rescue crews are currently working to free people believed to be trapped on board the trains.
Rail services on the Madrid–Andalucía route remain suspended as investigations and recovery efforts continue.
