EASTER is on the horizon, and Home Bargains have added a new sweet treat to shelves for the occasion.
However, reactions to the new Cadbury’s-filled buy have been mixed, with some branding the price as “daylight robbery”.

Sweet-toothed fans can elevate their Easter experience with a fun plastic egg that encourages you to “crack” open for some delicious chocolate surprises.
The 419g Cracking Chocolate Filled Egg is currently available from Home Bargains for £9.99, delivering the “classic Cadbury taste everyone knows and loves”.
Shoppers can “crack open the fun” and enjoy a “delicious mix of milk, white, and caramel-filled treats” inside.
The egg, which is described as “perfect for sharing or gifting this Easter”, contains a 123g Cadbury Creme Egg Bar, a five-pack Cadbury Mixed Creme Egg Chocolate Box, and a three-pack of Cadbury Biscoff Eggs.

A food blogger shared a detailed look at all the treats inside the egg on the Facebook group UK Newest Foods.
Facebook users shared their thoughts on the latest Easter treat in the comments section.
“I was kind of expecting a bit more than that considering the size of the egg,” wrote one viewer.
“Is that it? Jesus,” said another person, while others branded the price “daylight robbery” and “a scam”.
Another commenter wrote: “Not worth £10, may as well buy those chocolates separately. There’s more plastic than anything.”
A price breakdown shows that the egg was originally better value than buying each item separately from Home Bargains.
However, the retailer is currently running promotions on its Easter chocolate, with the prices more or less evening out.
The Cadbury Creme Egg Bar is currently available for 33% off, reduced from £2.99 to £1.99.
Meanwhile, the Mixed Egg Box, which includes two Creme Egss, two Caramel Eggs, and a White Cadbury Egg, is listed at a 38% discount, amrked down from £5.82 to £3.59.
And while Cadbury’s newly released three-pack of Biscoff Eggs aren’t listed on the Home Bargains website, prices at other retailers vary from £2.07 to £3.50.
That means that if you were to pick up the Creme Egg Bar and Mixed Egg Box from Home Bargains right now and purchased the Biscoff Eggs at the highest rate, you would still save 91p in comparison to the filled egg.
However, some fans defended the reusable plastic egg, sharing various uses for the container after Easter.
“Good idea though to fill [again] next year,” pointed out one Facebook user.
“I’d love one just for the egg for my dog to go crazy and play with,” wrote another viewer.
Home Bargains declined to comment.
