So here’s everything you need to know about supermarket opening times across the four-day weekend.
Tesco
Tesco is the UK’s biggest supermarket chain, with around 3,000 branches across the nation.
Hours vary depending on location over the bank holiday weekend:
England, Wales and Isle of Man:
- Good Friday: 6am – 10pm
- Easter Saturday: Normal hours
- Easter Sunday: Closed
- Easter Monday: 8am – 6pm

Sainsbury’s is Great Britain’s second-biggest supermarket chain, with roughly 1,400 locations.
Many large stores are on reduced hours across the weekend, with reported opening times as follows:

- Easter Sunday: Closed

The company said that the following opening times “apply to most of our larger stores” over the Easter period:
- Good Friday: 7am – 10pm
- Easter Saturday: 7am – 10pm
- Easter Sunday: Closed
- Easter Monday: 8am – 10pm

Aldi
Aldi is the UK’s fourth largest supermarket chain with more than 1,000 locations.
The German-owned discounter keeps things simple over Easter with consistent national hours.
