Antoine Semenyo’s agreed Man City wages revealed with Bournemouth star to be just 13th-highest paid player

ANTOINE SEMENYO is set to double his wages by joining Manchester City – but he’ll still be miles off the Blues’ top earners.

City are poised to win the race for the Bournemouth star and could have a deal sewn up by New Year’s Day.

Personal terms have already been agreed and the Cherries will receive Semenyo’s £65million release clause – although the finer details of the payment are still to be worked out.

The winger, 25, reportedly picks up £75,000 a week at Bournemouth.

His pay packet will surge to £150,000 a week at City, according to The Guardian, with performance incentives over the course of a five-year contract potentially bumping the number up even higher.

But Semenyo will still be way down the pecking order of mammoth earners at the Etihad.

The Ghana international’s new salary would put him 13th on the list, alongside Kalvin Phillips, who’s played just seven competitive minutes this season.

Goal machine Erling Haaland leads the way on a weekly wage three and a half times the size of Semenyo’s proposed package.

Veteran Bernardo Silva is next on the list followed by Omar Marmoush, John Stones and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Ruben Dias and Phil Foden both pick up in excess of £200,000 a week, with summer signing Rayan Cherki not far behind them.

Semenyo will be hoping to strike up a productive partnership with Haaland, who leads the Premier League scoring charts with 19 goals.

Brentford‘s Igor Thiago is second, two goals ahead of Semenyo – who has nine – in third.

City head into this midweek round of Prem fixtures in the thick of a tense title race with Arsenal and Aston Villa.

The Gunners currently lead City by two points, but a signing of Semenyo’s calibre threatens to tip the scales towards the chasers.

Bournemouth paid just £10m for Semenyo in 2023, and it’s understood they would have demanded at least £75m for him this winter had it not been for his release clause.

Semenyo is on course for the best top-flight scoring season of his career and would be available to play for City straight away given that Ghana failed to qualify for Afcon.

An early-window switch for the in-form wide man could pave the way for a City debut at home to Chelsea on January 4.
