ANTHONY JOSHUA shared a touching moment on Mother’s Day as he danced with the mums of his two closest friends who died in a horror car crash.
The former heavyweight champion posted the emotional scenes on social media while attending a large celebration dedicated to mothers.
Joshua, 36, could be seen inside a huge hall packed with families and mothers enjoying the special occasion.
But one moment in particular stood out as the Watford star took to the dance floor with the mums of his two pals who tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Nigeria.
AJ suffered the heartbreaking loss of his strength and conditioning coach Sina Ghami and personal trainer Latif “Latz” Ayodele, both 36, who were were killed instantly in the incident.
The devastating incident rocked Joshua’s tight-knit circle and left a lasting impact on the former unified heavyweight champion.
Joshua appeared relaxed and smiling as he honoured his late pals’ mums during the celebration, embracing them as music played in the background.
He shared several clips from the event on his Snapchat story, showing a lively atmosphere full of guests and mothers celebrating together.
Music played loudly across the hall as people danced and laughed while marking the occasion.
But AJ’s emotional tribute to the two mothers quickly caught fans’ attention online.
One fan said on X, reacting to the videos: “Standing with their families, keeping their memory alive and helping carry the weight of such a loss. Real loyalty. Real brotherhood.”
Another said: “Can see multiple cultures in one vid. What a beautiful sight. Nothing but love.”
The Olympic gold medallist has always kept a tight circle of friends and family around him despite his global fame.
And his gesture on Mother’s Day showed he has not forgotten those closest to him — or the families who supported them along the way.
AJ is expected to return to the ring this summer, with plans reportedly in motion for an all-British bust-up between Joshua and long-time rival Tyson Fury in November.
