AngryGinge reveals the BRUTAL way his ex-girlfriend broke up with him to stunned Ruby Wax on I’m A Celebrity as he reaches out for support after ‘terrible’ day in camp

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star AngryGinge opened up about the brutal way his ex-girlfriend broke up with him.

In Tuesday’s episode, the social media star, 24, showed Ruby Wax, 72, around the camp leader and deputy’s treehouse accommodation.

During their conversation, Ruby remarked how she didn’t think Ginge was the romantic type.

However, the star – whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle – revealed the huge gesture he made when he made the relationship official.

Ginge recalled how he had ‘rose petals, from the front door all the way up the stairs and then it opened to my room, there’s a teddy bear, there’s a rose and then I officially asked her to be my girlfriend.’

Unfortunately, the relationship came to a brutal end as Ginge shared his ex broke up with him by text while he was livestreaming.

He added: ‘I had to carry on for six more hours.’

The pair also discussed Ginge’s mindset, after he’d had a ‘down day’ on Monday due to homesickness and his campmates telling him they weren’t impressed by fooling them into believing he performed poorly at the Bushtucker Trial.

Confirming he was in a better mood, Ginge said: ‘Much better, yesterday I was just terrible…’

‘I’ve gone ten days without seeing my mum for example but I’ve always been able to ring her and text her, so not being able to communicate at all, it all gets on top of you.’

Elsewhere, the campmates enjoyed sweet bags won by Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook and Tom Read Wilson in the Jungle Nursery challenge.

Their goody bags included liquorice all-sorts, chocolate eclairs, lemon sherbets and fruit pastels to name a few.

While everyone tried different sweets, Ruby kept hold of the liquorice all-sorts bag for herself.

She snuck off to enjoy them – much to the amusement of her fellow camp mates watching, including Aitch, Shona and Alex.

Tucking into her haul in the Bush Telegraph she declared: ‘Sorry, it’s each man for itself now.’

When the group had a community meeting the next morning, Alex Scott said: ‘I think that was just a lesson, it is something to laugh about but it is something like that, a small thing, that can become a big thing.

‘I think the reaction to the sweets situation yesterday, certain people didn’t know what sweets were there, who was getting what and it could just be handled in a different situation.’

Ginge suggested that the next time around, no one should touch the sweets and the camp chefs should distribute.

Then, Eddie and Vogue pointed out that, of the six bags, Ruby had a whole bag to herself while she kept schtum.

She later told the Bush Telegraph: ‘My inner animal took over, I’ve got a mouth to feed which is mine!’

Meanwhile, Jack Osbourne took on the latest Bushtucker Trial, which was titled Drown The Hatch.

Jack, 40, proved that he is just as resilient as his late father Ozzy while attempting to win stars for camp.

He could be seen taking a deep breath as he quite went down a hatch and into a submerged cage.

The trial involved a number of hatches filled with the likes of water pythons that Jack must go into for two minutes a pop in a bid to win a star.

‘He must be getting tired,’ Dec told Ant as the pair looked on in awe at Jack’s performance.

Ant admitted: ‘But he seems very calm though.’

The Osbournes star ultimately managed to bag all 12 stars for his fellow campmates.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues Wednesday on ITV1 and ITVX.
