BAFFLED Tottenham fans could barely believe the rumours that a current Spurs player is being tipped to replace Igor Tudor.
The North Londoners confirmed the exit of Croat Tudor on Sunday.

He managed just one win and one draw from his seven matches in charge.
Those five defeats included a 4-1 North London derby drubbing and the chaotic 5-2 Champions League first leg at Atletico Madrid.
Tudor’s final game was the 3-0 humiliation at home to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest.
And with that result leaving Spurs one point and one place above the drop zone, the interim boss was axed after just six weeks.
Now the club are hunting for their fourth manager within a year.
But one name in the running has left the supporters shocked.
That is because left-back Ben Davies is a legitimate contender for the gig.
Davies, 32, is Spurs’ longest-serving player, joining from Swansea in 2014.

The Welshman is currently out injured after a serious ankle fracture.
But he has completed his coaching A-licence and, as a senior member of the playing squad, he could be a popular – albeit left-field – appointment within the camp.
However, suggestions of Davies stepping into the dugout for the crucial remaining seven games as Tottenham battle for Premier League survival has not gone down well with fans.
One said: “Ben Davies? Am I reading this right? Only Tottenham would be capable of getting Igor Tudor, mess that up and then make it even worse!”
Another wrote: “This is nonsense.”
A third added: “Wait… Ben Davies as interim manager?! This season just keeps getting wilder!”
A fourth posted: “Ben Davies as Tottenham interim? I see more chaos.”
A fifth moaned: “Relegation will be confirmed after two games.”
A sixth blasted: “Ridiculous, so that’s why it’ll probably happen. Let’s appoint a current player with zero management experience to get us out of the worst situation we’ve been in for 50 years.”
And a final user simply asked: “What the f*** is happening?”
SunSport understands Tottenham are hoping to bring in a new permanent boss rather than another interim.
And that could wreck any hopes of an emotional return for Mauricio Pochettino after the World Cup.
Elsewhere, Roberto De Zerbi, Chris Hughton or Ryan Mason are being linked – but former Monaco coach Adi Hutter ruled himself out.
Assistant Bruno Saltor will lead training over the coming days before the new boss is confirmed.
