Alice Evans has said she is in a ‘dark place’ and ‘overwhelmed’ with grief following the tragic death of beloved brother Tony.
The actress shared the devastating news of her ‘incredible’ sibling’s passing after years of health battles last month, just a week after asking fans for their prayers.
Now in her latest heartbreaking post Alice said that she and her daughters, whom she shares with ex Ioan Gruffudd, are ‘stuck in limbo’ as they wait to return to the UK from their home in the US to bid a final farewell to Tony.
Taking to her Instagram Stories she penned: ‘Just to say thank you so very much fo all the incredible messages about the passing of my brother’.
‘I’m in a bit of a dark place at the moment. There has been a hold-up in proceedings and the girls and I are dying to get back and hold our family members and to be able to say goodbye to my favourite man in the world,’
‘But sometimes things take longer than expected and the whole family feels like we’re in some sort of limbo’.

Now in her latest update Alice said that she and her daughters are ‘stuck in limbo’ as they wait to return to the UK from their home in the US to bid a final farewell to Tony.
She continued: ‘If I haven’t managed to reply to your message, please know that it doesn’t mean I didn’t read or appreciate it. Your message have literally kept me going these past 3 weeks’.
‘It just means I’m a little overwhelmed and torn up with grief and I’m not managing my time very well’.
Before adding: ‘I love you all so much and so very, very grateful for your support’.
Announcing the tragic news last month Alice penned on top of a blank snap: ‘I can’t believe I’m writing this. On Thursday, at 6.42pm, our beloved Tone left this earth.
‘My brother, my best friend, the most incredible husband to Rachel, and beloved Uncle Tone to my girls who became so close to him in these past few years thanks to the wonders of face time.
‘Tony was the kindest, most loyal, funniest, warm person I could have ever hoped to have had as a sibling. He will leave a gaping hole in the lives of me and the girls, that I have no idea how I will fill.
‘Rachel, you are the strongest person I know and this week has been hell for all of us but especially you. You are the most caring, beautiful person and my sister forever. You and Tone were meant for each other. I have never met another couple so in love and so dedicated. It’s just unthinkable that your story has to end here.
‘Tone – I don’t remember life without you in it and I have no idea how to even go about trying. RIP my beautiful, perfect brother.’

Ahead of his death, Alice shared that it ‘wasn’t looking good’ as she asked for prayers for Tony.
She was flooded with well-wishes for her brother, but it was also met with a cruel troll.
They commented: ‘Let’s say the worst happens… does Alice bring the kids? Does she shame loan publicly in an attempt to get him to pay for the round-trip flights x3?
‘Will she fire up the GFM for the third time? Does Daddy Evans go? Does Mrs Evans go? Will Alice even be invited? We know it won’t stop her. Will Alice make a big scene about her when they should be there for Tony?
‘Could it coincide with the court date next month? Loss is loss but this would be a logistical nightmare.’
Alice called out the troll by posting a screenshot of the comment on her Instagram.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: ‘This person is scum. Utter scum. You lost a sister yet you speak like this about me losing a brother? You nasty piece of work.’
In 2022, the actress shared a series of snaps of her ‘favourite people’, where she revealed Tony had endured ‘so much physical trauma’.
The images showed her sister-in-law Rachel, with mum Jane, as they beamed for the camera.
This was followed by another shot of Tony and their dad, John Garner.
Next to the snaps, Alice wrote: ‘My sister-in-law: Rachel Evans. ( née Garner) And the closest person I have to a Mum: HER Mum, Jane Garner.
‘Second photo includes my angel brother Tony Evans who has been through so much physical trauma this year, and the man who holds it all together: John Garner.

‘I love you all with all my heart. Ridiculous fact: Jane and John live next door to my father and his wife Lady Catherine. But the latter barely speak to them any more.
Alice is currently in the midst of a bitter legal battle with ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd after she accused him of cheating on her for three years with Bianca Wallace, who is 18 years his junior .
Alice previously confirmed her separation from the Welsh star in a series of furious tweets posted on Twitter in January 2021 – with Ioan moving on with Bianca in the following October .
Since Ioan and Bianca went public with their relationship, Alice has openly hit out at their relationship on social media and claimed the pair had been embroiled in a three-year affair – accusations he denies.
The warring couple faced each other on Monday at Los Angeles Superior Court where Alice – who appeared via video – wants a judge to order Ioan to cough up more than the $1,500 he’s paying in monthly spousal support.
Meanwhile the Fantastic Four star is seeking an extension of a restraining order to stop Evans from ‘stalking’ him and trashing him and his new wife, Bianca online.
The Welsh actor revealed that he’s not only opposed to increasing the amount he pays his former spouse, but he wants to stop paying her altogether.
The judge scheduled a trial to be held over nine days from February 23 to March 6, 2026, when the restraining order, spousal support and other issues between the ex-pair will be resolved.
