KEEP your heating bills low this winter with Aldi’s clever £9.99 buy.
With wind and rain battering the UK this week, many people will be doing all they can to keep warm.

But with energy bills having risen this month, putting the heat on full blast isn’t an option for cost-conscious Brits.
From heated blankets to thermal curtains, there are plenty of alternatives to cranking up the thermostat.
But if you want to make your heating system more energy efficient, Aldi‘s Radiator Reflector is the perfect solution.
In store from tomorrow, the clever gadget can be stuck to the back of your radiator, where it will prevent heat from being absorbed by the wall and lost to the outside.

Instead, the foil reflects the heat in to the room, increasing efficiency and making your room warmer.
According to the German discounter, the gadget cuts heat loss up to 86%, meaning you can turn your heating down, and still have a toasty room.
Aldi said: “Help to keep your home warmer in the winter with the SuperFOIL Radiator Reflector.
“Easy to install and can be cut to fit your radiator, it features an internal bubble structure for additional thermal performance.”
The £9.99 foil can be cut to size, so you can use it on any radiator, and it comes with built-in adhesive strips, so you can easily attach it to the radiator.
The product will be located in the middle aisle of your local Aldi, and as with all Specialbuys, will only be available while stocks last.

4 ways to keep your energy bills low
Laura Court-Jones, Small Business Editor at Bionic shared her tips.
1. Turn your heating down by one degree
You probably won’t even notice this tiny temperature difference, but what you will notice is a saving on your energy bills as a result. Just taking your thermostat down a notch is a quick way to start saving fast. This one small action only takes seconds to carry out and could potentially slash your heating bills by £171.70.
2. Switch appliances and lights off
It sounds simple, but fully turning off appliances and lights that are not in use can reduce your energy bills, especially in winter. Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use, can save you up to £20 a year on your energy bills
3. Install a smart meter
Smart meters are a great way to keep control over your energy use, largely because they allow you to see where and when your gas and electricity is being used.
4. Consider switching energy supplier
No matter how happy you are with your current energy supplier, they may not be providing you with the best deals, especially if you’ve let a fixed-rate contract expire without arranging a new one. If you haven’t browsed any alternative tariffs lately, then you may not be aware that there are better options out there.
Available in a variety of colours, from silver to pinks, the curtains go with any aesthetic, so you can get one for every room in the house.
Another cheap way to keep toasty is to invest in an electric blanket, which cost as little as 1p to run.
The Slumberdown Sleepy Nights Electric Blanket has three clever heat settings, to keep you as toasty and warm as you like.
The clever device has straps so that you can fasten it onto your mattress and enjoy cosy heat all night long.
It also comes with a handy 2m long cable, so you can plug it in wherever is convenient, and has a two-year guarantee, so you can be sure to have a great night’s sleep for years to come.
