Aldi shoppers go wild as supermarket brings back £1.79 Snow Fairy ‘Lush dupe’ and people say it ‘smells so good’

ALDI shoppers are stocking up on a shower gel that smells just like Lush’s viral Snow Fairy but is around £22 cheaper.

The supermarket has brought back its popular “dupe”, which is just £1.79 for a 500ml bottle, compared to Lush’s version which was £24 in 2024.

A bargain hunter spotted that the fan-favourite item is back in Aldi stores and rushed to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to share the news.

They wrote: “Omg snow fairy lovers it’s back!!! Snow fairy dupe shower gel in Aldi in Kent.”

According to shoppers, it smells very similar to the candy floss-scented Snow Fairy, which has racked up a cult following each festive period.

One excited person wrote: “Need smells so good.”

Another added: “Wish I’d seen it earlier I’d have gone today.”

A third commented: “Aww get me some!!”

The sweet-scented product has been described on the Aldi website as “sweet and delightful”.

In 2024, Lush’s Snow Fairy shower gel UK prices were roughly £7 to £35 depending on the size, with the comparable 500ml being £24.

Since its launch in 2005, Lush Snow Fairy has been gracing our shelves every autumn – before disappearing in the new year.

With its bubblegum scent and acid-pink appearance, the shower gel has become one of the brand’s most iconic products – so much so, there are now over 20 products in the range, from glitter bath bombs to fairy-shaped soap bars.

It also features the popular body spray, which usually retails for around £25.

The Snow Fairy line is beloved for its cheerful and nostalgic scent, often evoking memories of sweets and festive times.

Its vibrant packaging and limited availability contribute to its appeal, making it a much-anticipated release each year.

Last year, the brand brought out four new Snow Fairy products.

According to cash-savvy home interior fans, ASDA’s Sparkling Sands Candle was a more affordable dupe of a firm fan favourite – Snow Fairy by Lush.
