Footage of Prince George and Princess Charlotte appears to show the royal siblings looking disappointed after the Wimbledon men’s final yesterday.
The future king, 11, and his sister, 10, joined their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton in the royal box at SW19, to watch Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz take on Italian Jannik Sinner.
It’s been widely reported that the children are major fans of Alacaraz, who lost the match in four sets.
Their love of tennis may have been inspired by the Princess of Wales, 43, being patron of the All England Lawn and Tennis Club, also known as the AELTC (which organises the day-to-day running of the prestigious tournament).
As part of her duties, Kate, who has held the post since 2016, presents the trophy to the tournament’s winner.
It was during the presentation that the royal children looked downcast, adopting similar poses as they stood with their arms resting on the wall of the royal box.

Kate, who was joined by former British tennis number one Annabel Croft for the presentation, congratulated Sinner, 23, who defeated the defending champion to win the first Wimbledon title of his career.

It was sweet revenge for the Italian player who just five weeks ago lost a marathon Roland Garros final to Alcaraz despite having three championship points.
Posting on X after the final the Prince and Princess of Wales congratulated both players on an ‘amazing performance’.
They wrote: ‘What a final! An amazing performance from both players. Well done @janniksin on your first Championship!’
Sinner said after receiving the trophy from the Princess of Wales: ‘I had a very tough loss in Paris.
‘But it doesn’t really matter how you win or lose the important tournaments, you just have to understand what you did wrong, try to work on that.
‘This is for sure one of the reasons why I’m holding this trophy. I’m very happy that I held my nerves. It’s an amazing feeling.’
George and his sister were dressed in their Sunday best as they arrived in SW19 earlier today.
The young Princess sported a pretty cream frock with black piping, while George looked smart in a dark suit and tie.

Mother-of-three Kate and her only daughter were seen sweetly smiling at each other as they sat down to watch the tournament.
While she brought George and Charlotte to the sporting event, Louis, who is known for his cheeky antics during spectator events, was absent.
Louis, who turned seven in April, last delighted royal fans with his funny facial expressions and adorable beaming smile, showing off his new adult front teeth, at Trooping the Colour in June.
On Saturday, Kate attended the women’s final alone, before presenting the winner’s trophy to Iga Swiatek who beat Amanda Asiminova 6-0, 6-0 in a match that lasted just under an hour.
The royal was praised for her Wimbledon outing on Saturday, after she consoled the tearful runner-up Amanda Asiminova who was thrashed by Iga Swiatek in the most one-sided Wimbledon final since 1911.
Kate placed her hand on the American’s arm and told her to ‘keep your head high’ following the 23-year-old’s 6-0, 6-0 loss on Centre Court in just 57 minutes.
Anisimova had to briefly leave the court following her humbling at the hands of an inspired Swiatek, 24, as she recorded a double bagel scoreline in the women’s final – the first in 114 years and for only the second time in the tournament’s history.

Anisimova said meeting Kate ‘was the positive of today’ and told how she had been ‘really kind’.
Speaking after the match, she said: ‘It was such an honour to meet her.
‘I wasn’t sure if she was going to come out today, if she was going to be there, so it’s just really nice to see her.
‘She definitely had a few things to say that were making me emotional again.’
A tearful Anisimova wiped away tears during her post-match interview on court as she praised Swiatek and said she had ‘run out of gas a bit today’.
She was playing in her first Wimbledon final and said ‘she would never forget this experience’.
Anisimova broke down again as she mentioned how her mother had flew in from America that morning to watch her.
‘Thank you for being here and breaking the superstition of not flying in – it isn’t why I lost here,’ she joked.
