ALAN SHEARER’s daughter Chloe has got engaged to former rugby star Micky Young.
The 33-year-old said yes to the ex-Newcastle Falcons scrum-half when he proposed at Wylam Brewery in Newcastle.
Chloe revealed the engagement in a post to her Instagram account on Friday, captioned “Forever YOUNG” in a play on her surname to be.
Young, 36, also played for Leicester Tigers and Bath during his career, but spent the majority of his career in the Shearer family’s native Newcastle.
Chloe’s family were clearly ecstatic at the news, with sister Hollie reposting the announcement on social media alongside the caption: “The bestest news ever. My sister’s engaged!”
Chloe has a career in talent management, with a particular focus in sports, which led her to work on last year’s Soccer Aid event.
Younger sister Hollie, 30, is a singer and influencer, boasting almost 80,000 Instagram followers.
Hollie was not the only one chuffed at the news, with brother Will reposting the announcement alongside several heart emojis.
The siblings’ Newcastle and England legend father himself even commented: “About time too!!!”
It is the second engagement that the Premier League’s record scorer has celebrated in the past year.
In fact it was almost a year to the day since Hollie got engaged to long-time boyfriend Joe Marchant.
As if that coincidence wasn’t enough, Marchant is also a rugby star.
The 29-year-old spent eight years with the Harlequins and made 28 international appearances for England at centre.
The couple moved together to Paris to follow his rugby career after he made a move to Stade Francais in 2023.
