STEPHEN Graham has hit out at “disrespectful” A-list stars who turn up late to set in a new rant.
The Adolescence star, 52, is currently in the thick of awards season, during which his Netflix series has received numerous accolades.
Rising to fame two decades ago, the Merseyside-born actor has seen it all on set.
And from that experience, Stephen says there’s some behaviour he has no time for.
“There is a lot of actors that aren’t on time,” he admitted this week, according to MailOnline.
Continuing to brand the behaviour “disgusting”, he said: “That’s exceptionally disrespectful.
“To leave a crew, that have been there well before you and will leave well after you, waiting around because you are some Lord and Saviour and the goose that lays the golden egg is disgusting…it’s just not cricket.”
It is not known which actors in particular Stephen was referring to.
Last month, Stephen won the Best Actor in a mini-series accolade at the Golden Globe awards.
He was again nominated for the gong at this weekend’s Actor Awards – previously known as the SAG Awards.
However, he lost out to co-star and prodigy Owen Cooper, who became the youngest ever actor to win the award.
Adolescence was created by Stephen and co-writer Jack Thorne, with the former starring in the series too as Owen’s on-screen dad.
The gripping story is based on 13-year-old Jamie (played by Owen) who is arrested for stabbing a female classmate to death – heavily influenced by online misogyny.
The teen murder saga racked up 140 million views in its first three months on Netflix.
And added more strings to Stephen’s bow, the Netflix drama looks like it’s going to get a real-life “spin-off” courtesy of Louis Theroux.
The Sun revealed last month that production company Mindhouse is developing a documentary looking at the effect of online misogyny on boys.
Filming of the as-yet-untitled show has begun and it will likely air on Netflix but probably not until next year.
