Oliver Glasner’s side made history as the result also sealed a place in next season’s Europa League.

The game was full of drama as Ebere Eze gave Palace the lead on 16 minutes.

Dean Henderson then avoided a red card for handling outside the box, being saved by a controversial VAR call.

The Palace goalie then stopped an Omar Marmoush penalty 10 minutes later.

And Henderson, who paid a tearful tribute to his dad later on, was then embroiled in a post-match bust-up with City boss Pep Guardiola.

However, nothing could stop Palace from celebrating their win.

The party started at full-time as jubilant players collected their gold medals from Prince William before holding the FA Cup trophy aloft.

But there was one notable absence on the famous Wembley steps.

Wharton was not present for the trophy lift as he was being checked over by docs for concussion.

The midfielder took a ball in the face from a Kevin De Bruyne shot during the match.

And while pals partied on the pitch with their title, Wharton was being assessed as to whether he was suffering from concussion or not.

Fans were quick to wish Euro 2024 finalist Wharton well.

One said: “Rapid and quick recovery Adam.”

Another declared: “Showed great sportsmanship prioritising his health over celebrations.”

One noted: “Bet he is still super happy.”

Another added: “Gutted for him, hope he’s OK.”
