Abilene Christian University is announcing a new partnership with the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to provide affordable educational opportunities to its members and employees. The PTK Honor Society provides its members with access to professional development and leadership courses, webinars, partner benefits and discounts, and more to help students prepare for their future. With this partnership, ACU will waive the application fee and give a tuition discount to members and employees who apply and meet admission standards. The tuition discount will only apply to online degree and certificate programs offered by ACU.
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society exclusively for students attending two-year colleges. The organization celebrates academic achievement and encourages scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship among community college students. With more than 1,000 chapters worldwide, PTK connects students with scholarship opportunities, leadership programs, career preparation tools and other resources designed to help them succeed after college.
Students become eligible to join Phi Theta Kappa after completing at least 12 hours of coursework toward a degree (or six hours toward a one-year certificate) and maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA.
“Phi Theta Kappa students have already demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, leadership and service, all values that closely align with ACU’s mission,” said Jessica Manning, chief enrollment and partnerships officer for ACU. “Through this partnership, we’re excited to provide PTK members and employees with affordable pathways to continue their education through our online programs, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and faith-based foundation to grow in their careers and make a meaningful impact in their communities.”
ACU Online offers more than 50+ online programs in areas such as theology, healthcare, education, business, marketing and more. Each program features a faith-based and industry-aligned curriculum designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to advance in their careers, transition into new fields or pursue leadership opportunities. ACU continues to expand access to education by partnering with organizations that share its commitment to supporting students and professionals through flexible and affordable learning opportunities.
ACU’s online programs are administered through its branch location in Dallas and include 18 bachelor’s degrees, 20 master’s degrees, five doctoral degrees, five undergraduate certificate programs and eight graduate certificates.
