Abilene Christian University (ACU) has launched a fully online Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies with teacher certification, providing a flexible and purpose-driven degree designed for students seeking to become elementary, EC-6 certified teachers in Texas. This innovative program combines interdisciplinary coursework in psychology and communication with foundational teaching preparation, empowering students to lead with excellence, empathy and impact in today’s diverse elementary classrooms.
Led by experienced faculty and educational leaders, the program equips students with practical skills in lesson planning, child development, classroom communication and instructional delivery. Along with this, students complete their educator preparation through the Texas Institute for Teacher Education (TXITE), a faith-based, fully online certification institution. Students will obtain their teaching certification and be ready to step into certified EC-6 teaching roles upon graduation.
