This ‘news’ (and I used that term lightly) report was breathtaking in its bias last night. An utter and complete rosewashing of both the reason the man had been arrested, the circumstances behind the child being with him in detention, and then turning the tenor of his release and return into a triumphant march makes one of the most stomach churning exercises in journalistic malpractice I’ve seen in years – and I watch CBS news nightly. That’s saying something.
You all know the case of that precious five-year-old boy, Liam Conejo-Ramos, caught forever in this single picture.

What tore at mine was how his father could run off like a scared rabbit and abandon that little man when approached by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers (ICE).
I cannoit imagine a MAN doing such a thing.
What ate at me even worse was when I heard that not only had his father abandoned him, but that his own mother would not take the child from the ICE officers when the little man led them to his home, and they asked to take her baby. John’s post had the entire story of the whole shameful incident.
…Did the mother really refuse to take custody of her son? CNN has a story up today suggesting that’s true.
DHS also said officers “made multiple attempts to get the mother inside the house to take custody of her child. Officers even assured her that they would NOT take her into custody. She refused to accept custody of the child.”
Apparently, there was a school board member and the fugitive father in the house, telling the pregnant woman not to accept her child.
ICE wound up arresting the father, Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, in any event. Before they did, however, they took care of the little man as best they could, which included a visit to McDonald’s. Once in custody, the father requested the little guy remain with him.
That’s how they both wound up in the detention center in Texas – because both parents had abandoned their son.
Naturally, the child became a cause celebre for the Left, who shrieked holy hell about kidnapping children, wielding the picture of a tiny guy abandoned by his parents to bludgeon the Trump administration with.
Any American who ABANDONED their child while running from law enforcement would face serious child neglect charges.
Yet Democrats are defending an illegal who did precisely that.

The hyperbole was really over the top, which is what happens when there’s a photogenic child in the middle of an awful situation that his parents created…

Poems were written, and a congressional representative got all lathered up while conveniently skipping over the ‘abandoned by his parents’ part of what actually happened.
ICE cared for Liam Ramos when his criminal illegal alien father abandoned him to flee the police.

Then a Clinton-appointed judge, who feels that ruling from the bench is an exercise more in judgment than justice, did what they do as naturally as breathing – upend the legal process for #feelz.

…today’s date wrong (Feb 31st doesn’t even exist) while saying that ICE’s administrative warrants “do not pass probable cause muster…that is called the Fox guarding the henhouse…the Constitution requires an independent judicial officer.”
Judge Biery then goes on to write:
“Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And the rule of law be damned. Ultimately, Petitioners may, because of the arcane United States immigration system, return to their home country, involuntarily or by self-deportation. But that result should occur through a more orderly and humane policy than currently in place.”
Judge Biery’s LinkedIn page also shows him liking a post today about millions protesting President Trump’s policies.
Progressive featherweight Joaquin Castro accompanied the pair back to Minnesota, as did ABC News, which filed this barftastic, incredibly offensive piece of garbage shown on last night’s broadcast.

…Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, posted on social media Sunday that he picked up the family Saturday night and escorted them back to Minnesota the next morning.
In a letter he also shared, the congressman wrote to the boy: “Don’t let anyone tell you this isn’t your home. America became the most powerful, prosperous nation on earth because of immigrants not in spite of them.”

Which seems like an odd thing for a Democrat to say, as they couldn’t be bothered with those little brown children being ‘home’ even a year ago.

And they surely do not care about AMERICAN children making it ‘home’ if it means a single illegal alien has to leave before another American child’s life is sacrificed.
A Marine’s wife is speaking out after their 8-year-old daughter was killed in a crash on San Felipe Road south of Montezuma Valley Road near Julian, calling for tougher immigration and DUI laws to prevent similar tragedies.
Arya Cruz Acencio died on November 30 when a suspected drunk driver crossed into her family’s lane on their drive home from San Diego to Yuma, according to the California Highway Patrol. The head-on collision with their Toyota Camry left the entire family injured.
…According to ICE, the driver, Brayan Alva-Rodriguez, entered the country illegally in 2018 and was charged with DUI in 2020 and again in 2021. ICE says a judge ordered him removed from the U.S. in March 2023, but he never left.
For the record, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche says claims Conejo Aris has a pending asylum claim are just that much hooey. One was never filed for any of the family.
As for the revolting mess ABC News served up last night, it’s a shame Professor Turley didn’t see it in time to add it to his post today.
